Each Director brings a combination of professional expertise, community knowledge and personal commitment. Their motivation is centred on supporting residents to live safely, independently and well, while contributing to the broader Limestone Coast community.
Vicki Quinn
Chair
Vicki is an experienced real estate professional with more than two decades of service in the Mount Gambier and Limestone Coast region.
Her extensive local knowledge and community engagement underpin her commitment to service and leadership.
With strong governance oversight and a deep commitment to the organisation’s mission, Vicki has played a key role in advancing strategic priorities and is dedicated to ensuring Boandik continues to provide compassionate, high quality aged care services that support dignity, safety and independence for older people across the Limestone Coast.
Jayne Downs
Deputy Chair
Jayne has deep roots in the South-East and a long-standing commitment to the wellbeing of the local community.
With extensive experience in regional health, aged care and community services, including senior leadership roles and as Regional Director, she has overseen complex service delivery, hospital redevelopment projects and community health initiatives.
Her motivation to serve on the Boandik Board reflects her dedication to supporting older Australians and enhancing regional services.
Jayne brings strategic insight, governance experience and a strong focus on person-centred care to the Board.
Heather Teakle
Treasurer
A long-standing member of the Mount Gambier community with deep ties to local people and organisations, Heather is known for her active involvement in community life.
She brings professional expertise from her background in pharmacy and clinical advisory roles, providing valuable insight into health and care matters.
Heather’s motivation to serve on the Boandik Board reflects her strong commitment to community wellbeing and service.
She brings practical insight, healthcare experience, dedication to community support and a collaborative approach to decision-making, all grounded in her local knowledge and long-standing community involvement.
Karen Olive
Karen has deep connections to the Limestone Coast and extensive experience in regional health and community services.
She has held leadership roles managing programs that provide mental health, allied health, and community support services to people across the region.
Her motivation to serve on the Boandik Board reflects her commitment to regional wellbeing and community-focused service.
Karen brings governance insight, leadership experience and a strong understanding of service delivery in regional contexts, supporting the Board in overseeing Boandik’s residential aged care, retirement living and community services.
John Williamson
A Mount Gambier–based solicitor and principal of ASW Lawyers, John has extensive experience across family law, criminal law, commercial matters, estate planning and dispute resolution.
His work in wills and estates, powers of attorney and advance care directives, provides valuable insight into governance, risk and decision-making in community organisations.
John joined the Board of Boandik to contribute his legal and governance expertise in support of quality aged care services in the region. As a long-time member of the Mount Gambier community, he is committed to ensuring older people in the Limestone Coast have access to compassionate care, safe housing, and services that enable them to live with dignity and independence.
Paul Bullen
Paul has extensive experience in healthcare leadership across the Limestone Coast, including senior nursing and executive roles with regional hospital services and Mount Gambier Hospital.
His career spans clinical leadership, service delivery and health system management, providing strong expertise in patient care, workforce leadership and health service governance.
Retiring from an Executive Management role at Boandik, Paul now brings his wealth of healthcare and operational expertise to the Board.
He is passionate about supporting high-quality aged care in the Limestone Coast and ensuring older people have access to safe, compassionate services that enable them to live independently and with dignity.

Role of the Board
The Board of Directors sets the strategic direction, monitors organisational performance and oversees financial and risk management. It ensures that Boandik operates in compliance with all legal, regulatory and ethical obligations and that residents’ interests remain central to decision-making.
Role of Management
The Executive Leadership Team implements the Board’s strategy, manages day-to-day operations and provides regular reporting on financial, operational and quality outcomes. Management ensures that staff, volunteers and services are aligned with Boandik’s purpose and values.
